The strategic partnership between Italcares, Destination Italia, and Hubcore.ai is driven by a clear mission: to position Italy as Europe’s top destination for medical and wellness tourism—powered by innovation and digital transformation. 

The project was officially unveiled on July 9, 2025, at Sapienza University of Rome during the Italian Golden Age: Medical & Wellness Tourism event, attended by Italy’s Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè. On this occasion, Italcares launched its new online booking platform Italcares.it, developed with Hubcore.ai’s advanced technology and supported on the tourism front by Destination Italia. 

The Vision Behind Italcares 

With Destination Italia—the country’s leading inbound DMC—and the tech capabilities of Hubcore.ai, Italcares finally brings to the international market a wealth of services that have long existed in Italy, but were never accessible in a unified, bookable format. 

The platform integrates over 300 thermal spa locations (many affiliated with the national healthcare system), 500 private healthcare providers, and 30 major private hospital groups with international reach. 

Three Strategic Verticals 

The project focuses on three main areas: 

• Medical tourism: covering orthopedics, oncology, dermatology, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, dentistry, rehabilitation, and more. Italcares offers certified excellence centers, multilingual support, and transparent care pathways.

• Thermal wellness & preventive medicine: Italy offers a unique mix of therapeutic waters, preventive health services, and tourism hospitality—anchored in scientific excellence. 

• Silver Age & Italian Golden Age: tailored services for international seniors interested in long stays or relocating to Italy. Italcares provides guidance on tax benefits, healthcare, logistics, and senior housing aligned with global standards. 
  

Market Potential & Future Goals 

The global market for medical and longevity tourism exceeds $100 billion annually, with growth rates of 15–20% per year. Despite having one of the world’s top-rated healthcare systems, Italy had not yet built a centralized, bookable, multilingual offering—until now. 

“Italcares has already generated over 9 million impressions in the last 30 days, with demand from 70+ countries, especially Germany and the US,” Di Sipio explains. “By the end of 2025, we aim to integrate our booking engine across all partner facilities—becoming the largest certified and bookable healthcare and wellness network in Italy.”
